change my heart, God

Lord of my heart,

how can i call You the Lord of my heart when i still sin?
if You are in charge of my heart, why does my heart still harbor selfishness?

there are so many things i do not understand, beautiful Savior.

my request is that You change my heart to mirror Your Heart:
replace my self-centered-ness with a longing to find the center of Your Heart;
replace my bitterness with Your love for others and Your forgiving nature;
replace my worry with trust in You;
replace my pride with bubbling-over gratitude for You;
replace my uncaring, stony, cynical heart with Your Heart.

Ezekiel 11:19-20 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)

 ¹⁹ And I will give them one heart  and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone  from their bodies  and give them a heart of flesh,  ²⁰ so they may follow My statutes,  keep My ordinances, and practice them. Then they will be My people, and I will be their God. 



Ezekiel 36:26-27
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
²⁷"I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances."
